“I am Alive, Don’t Worry” Ken Mijungu Speaks After His Controversial Exit From TV 47

Renown media personality Ken Mijungu has shared an update following his unceremonious departure from TV 47 just shortly after joining the fast rising main stream media house.

In a short video clip, he shared on social media, Mijungu told his fans not to worry about him, insisting that he is okay.

“Hey good people, I am back here with another video just to show you that I am live and I am okay and don’t worry about me. I am very okay. This is just proof of life that after Sunday and Monday, I am still here, I am alive and very healthy,” he said.

Mijungu made headlines over the weekend and for the better part of Monday when reports surfaced that he had lost his TV 47 job, which he secured soon after exiting KTN.

Apparently, the TV station opted to release Mijungu after he requested for more time before going on air.

“We acknowledge receipt of your email dated February 21, 2025, in which you requested time off to reflect on your engagement with the company,” Cape Media HR Lilian Makandi formally responded to his request.

”Having considered the matter, Management has taken the decision to revoke the Service Agreement dated January 31, 2025. This decision takes effect from February 22, 2025,” the HR’s letter further stated.

Mijungu left KTN earlier this month after four years.

“A good dancer knows when to exit the stage! 4 years of absolute adrenaline and nothing but the best; as unpredictable as it was, it is time to find something else to do when I still can,” Mijungu stated then. “Forever grateful to God, my colleagues at Standard Group PLC and KTN News. Adios!”

He later on revealed that he opted not to renew his contract hence his departure from the Standard-owned TV station. Days later, he announced that he was heading to TV 47.
