Huddah Monroe Explains How She Was Duped Into Supporting Ruto In 2022

Huddah Monroe is now leading the campaign criticizing Ruto after feeling betrayed by the president.

The socialite is among the likes of celebrities like Nonini who in recent days have publicly expressed regret for supporting Ruto.

The socialite took to social media on Sunday, September 17, 2023, to slam president William Ruto’s government as things get tough in Kenya.

Huddah withdrew her support for Ruto just days after fuel prices in Kenya reached historic high – with a litre of petrol in the capital Nairobi retailing at Ksh211.64, while diesel cost Ksh200.99 and kerosene Ksh202.61.

In a series of Insta stories, Huddah unapologetically ranked Ruto as the worst president Kenya has ever had, even suggesting that the worst was yet to come.

“Ruto will be the worst president Kenya has ever seen,” she wrote amid uproar over the rising cost of fuel and food items.

A week after she renounced her support for Ruto, Huddah has now come out to explain why she was duped into supporting the president.

In a post on social media, Huddah said she vouched for Ruto thinking he would liberate Kenya. She regrettably noted that the worst of Ruto’s presidency is yet to come.

“Tunapenda kubebwa ufala sana. Mimi nishakubali after vouching for Zakayo thinking he will liberate us but he is just getting started,” Huddah wrote.

Huddah went on mocking Ruto in a series of other posts.
