Madeleine says, their initial interactions seemed promising, filled with discussions about the industry and my aspirations. However, it didn’t take long for things to change.
Ali Kiba, perhaps realizing his position of influence in her life, began to leverage it to his advantage. What started as a mentorship quickly transformed into a relationship, one that she, unfortunately, found herself entangled in from October last year, to February of this year.
The shocking and disheartening twist in this tale was that Ali Kiba, her idol turned mentor turned partner, told her something that cut deep. He told her that she was “nothing” and that she would “never make it.” Those words, spoken by someone she held in such high regard, shattered her self-esteem and left her questioning her own worth.
