The student jumped into Akothee’s well-guarded compound dressed in uniform.
The musician and entrepreneur shared a live video that showed her in a conversation with the boy and his guardian where they spoke in Dholuo Language.
In the video published on her Facebook page, the mother of five children was seen handing the boy’s guardian a check and an unspecified amount of money before instructing him to bring her a receipt after completing the school fee payment.
“Study hard… Say hello to your mother,” Akothee was heard telling the student after giving his guardian a fee.
She was also heard talking to the high school student about his musical talent and encouraging him to keep pushing it.
The singer could not hide how she was touched by the way the boy who was wearing his school uniform risked his life to reach her and ask her for school fees.
“This boy risked his life and jumped into my compound just for school fee,” Akothee said and accompanied her message with tearful face emojis, explaining how the boy’s action made her emotional.
In addition to music and business, the 43-year-old singer is also known for his charity work and has previously helped many parents who are struggling to educate their children. His actions have proven that he has great value in education and also a good heart to help.
At the end of last month, he revealed that he has also helped all his family members in one way or another although after all, most of them spat on him and decided not to stand with him.
“I have helped my family. When I became famous, my family never knew where I was and what I was doing. After that I helped them all. If I post my bank statements today, you will notice that all my family members are smiling all the way to the bank,” Akothee said.
