Citizen TV anchor Hassan Mugambi entered marital bliss in a vibrant Islamic ceremony. The esteemed investigative reporter donned traditional Islamic wedding attire, sporting a navy blue kanzu and a matching headwrap.
Mwanaidi, previously a video vixen, now runs a restaurant called Mama Nilishe in Kilimani, where she serves delicious Swahili cuisine.
Mugambi was accompanied by his colleagues, including Swahili anchor Rashid Abdalla and the up-and-coming political journalist Ayub Abdikadir.
The wedding was graced by South Mugirango member of parliament Sylvanos Osoro.
Mugambi began his media journey at Pamoja FM, a community-based radio station located in Kibera, where he honed his command of the Swahili language.
After being recruited by the Mediamax-owned station K24, he made a switch to Citizen TV in 2017.
In 2019, Mugambi achieved a notable milestone as he received the Outstanding Media Security Investigative Award.
The esteemed accolade was bestowed upon him by the Protective and Safety Association of Kenya (PROSAK) in recognition of his exceptional and unwavering coverage of security issues within the country.
In 2023, Mugambi’s dedication and expertise were once again recognized, as he was honored with the Security and Crime Reporter of the Year 2023 award at the Nairobi Security Expo.
