Andrew Kibe has finally broken his silence after his pastor friend exposed his past life to a local news site.
In a video Kibe shared on his YouTube channel, he that the pastor was his friend for 10 years but nothing wrong happened between them for him to spill the beans about his past.
According to him, the pastor was just looking for an opportunity to trend and that is why he turned against him.
“Bro, imagination get out of it. We were friends with this pastor for 10 years. Right now he is out there in the blogs trying to malign my name. Nothing happened between you and me why are you doing this. Hasidi haitaji sababu. People who are evil are not your enemies, the people who are next to you are the ones who you should be careful about.
“Forget about this friendship nonsense it does not exist. When the motivation is strong enough everybody will turn against you. When somebody needs to trend they will turn against you. Your own mother, you saw Xtian and his mum, she turned against him.. She went to social to embarrass her own child,” the controversial podcaster said in the video.
The pastor, identified as Daniel Wesonga, was recently interviewed by Nairobi News. According to him Kibe came to him while seeking to find answers in the bible. Kibe also told him that he was not comfortable with where he was worshipping from and they ended up opening a church in Lang’ata.
“We opened a church and I made him a chairman, Robert Burale was a pastor while Rozina Mwakideu was a praise and worship team member,” Wesonga recalled, adding that he was the one who baptized Kibe.
The former radio presenter wanted to be a pastor afterwards but Wesonga told him it was not yet time
They later relocated to India only to return home bankrupt.
“Kibe then wanted us to relocate in Rwanda since we had so many debts after coming to Kenya,” he said.
Wesonga further revealed that Kibe was hired at NRG when his life was in shambles. He had been divorced and his first wife died of depression. Wesonga was the producer at the station.
