Eko Dydda was briefly dumped by his wife Cynthia Ayugi who walked out of their marriage because of his infidelity.
Angry Ayugi took to social media in May 2019 to narrate how her husband was fooling around with her best friend.
“Breaking someone’s marriage is not GODLY, I invited you as a friend, today unasema ambia Eko Dydda not to bring me home because love yenu haita grow.
“It’s not a battle,@ekodydda you don’t have to hide it any more your ‘DOPE’ is free to love you, sometimes it’s healthy to walk away. Na leo ndio ile siku, I will not hide it for fame, money, I will stand with the truth and will never ever lie to people,” Cynthia Ayugi wrote.
Eko Dydda and his wife however managed to salvage their marriage which was on the verge of hitting rock bottom following the cheating incident.
Fast forward to June 2022, the rapper denied he cheated on his wife while speaking during an interview with a local publisher.
He claimed the cheating story was a fabrication of the media.
“I have been married for many years and I have a beautiful family. The way the media and the public ran with the story left me wondering why they have never written about it when things were ok. People were lashing at me yet they had no proof, they were just acting on allegations. Kenyans love celebrating failure, we volunteer to bring down others yet we never support others,” he said.
“I doubt whether people judged me because I was a Christian. It just tells us the kind of people we are, we are hurting on the inside. My message to the media is a story might have views but choose to focus on the good things. You will sow what you reap,” he added.
