DJ Evolve is a true definition of a walking Miracle. Nearly five years after being shot on the neck by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, DJ Evolve’s life is nearly returning to normal because of the way he is responding to recovery.
In an interview with Citizen TV’s Lilian Muli, he shared some of the greatest wins he has had during the recovery process, including regaining his voice and feeding normally.
“I started feeding again after sometime. I got my voice back recently. I stopped speaking while I was in hospital, I just got my voice back recently. I found myself whispering. Getting my voice back was one of my biggest wins. I got most of my upper limb movements so we are working on the final ones,” he said.
At the same time, he acknowledged the fact that the entire experience wasn’t all negative as he has been able to pick positive things along the way.
“I have been learning. You have to learn life again but it has been a good experience as well. I got to find more about myself, how resilient and strong I am,” he said.
During the time, he has been reading and studying new courses like IT.
“Right now most things can be done remotely so I have been into coding in the recent past couple of months. I have also been thinking of concepts to execute while am still here. Deejaying is like riding a bike if you get it and get it properly, that is it. My interests are still in music and even if I have developed other interests I can see how to fuse them into what I was doing before,” DJ Evolve further explained.
