Amber Ray has for the first time candidly talked about her first husband whom she was married to while broke and underage.
The controversial socialite gave birth to her son Gavin when she was just 18 years old and it was quite tough for her.
Amber Ray opened up about Gavin’s father while speaking on the Toxic Boyfriend segment on Obinna’s YouTube channel.
She revealed that she was married to her first husband for eight long years before she decided to walk away because the marriage was very toxic.
Amber said Gavin’s father and her were neighbors when they fell in love and they moved in together in Kahawa West, not very far from her parent’s home.
The two were both hustlers but were serving couple goals, neighbors used to refer them as Jay Z and Beyoncé.
“We just met in the hood, he was my neighbor. We loved each other, actually we got a kid together. We were staying together. Beyoncé and Jay Z was our nickname. Our love was something else,” said Amber Ray.
Things started changing after they welcomed their son, Gavin. Her husband also got a better job and he started being unfaithful.
Amber Ray would confront him but that just worsened the situation, he got back home late and when she asked him about it he resorted to physical violence.
“He was outside of course having fun, he came late around 12am. The gate used to be opened at 6 am. He came back, I was sleeping on the bed with the baby, my son around 8 months. He poured water on us saying that we were sleeping yet the owner of the house had not slept,” Amber narrated.
Gavin’s father continued showing Amber Ray contempt, forcing her to find her own means of survival.
“I started looking for a job and when he saw I was serious, that is when he got me a job at a Casino,” she said.
The two worked at the same place with Amber being a waitress while her son’s father was a driver.
The guy however started getting jealous and insecure when he saw clients that wanted to be served by Amber. She however changed jobs. By then her love for him had faded away and she would care less what he did but at no point did she cheat on home.
One day, Amber came home late because she had to catch up with a friend and the aftermath caused her to reconsider being with Gavin’s father. He beat her to a pulp.
“When I got home, my house manager was trembling and asked me whether I had talked to Gavin’s father that he was looking for me. I ignored her, so I went to bed. I don’t know where he came from, but he confronted me asking where I was coming from,” Amber Ray recalled.
