Former TV presenter Esthermarrie Inzekellah is dead broke and heavily pregnant forcing her to take to the streets of Nairobi to beg.
Esthermarrie has been standing with a placard around Muthaiga in the hope of running into well-wisher(s) who will offer her employment.
However, the former Destiny TV presenter has not been lucky to find any help with standing with a placard in the streets.
Esthermarrie was forced to approach the media to highlight her predicament to a wider audience.
“My two babies need me, so all I need is a job to help me secure shelter and food. I know I’m pregnant but not incapacitated, I will work even without maternity,” she told Tuko.
The former TV presenter further revealed that her landlord has given her a vacation notice to leave her house in Kangemi immediately after she was unable to pay rent arrears of Ksh10,000 that has accumulated over the past four months.
Esthermarrie is seven and a half months pregnant, but is uncertain about how she will clothe, feed and put diapers on the newborn. Her delivery date is a few weeks away (June 13),
“I also have another child who hasn’t been in school since November last year, let’s just say I have no rent, no food, and no school fees,” she said.
The former TV presenter has been jobless for over four years says she’s tried finding work but has been unsuccessful.
She is a graduate of Media School but has also worked as a presenter at Destiny Radio and TV.
“I have volunteered at Egerton Radio, MKU Nakuru Campus studio, as well as former Fahari Radio. I was at Destiny in 2018,” Esthermarrie said.
