Vesha Okello, the firstborn daughter of celebrated Kenyan singer and entrepreneur Akothee, is shedding light on her relationship status, and it sounds like she’s still flying solo.
In a recent interview with a local media outlet, Vesha revealed that while her younger sister is preparing for marriage, she remains single and on the hunt for her ideal partner.
Sharing insights about her sister, Fancy, who is engaged and seemingly destined for wedded bliss, Vesha reflected, “Fancy ako na nyota ya ndoa. The rest of us we are still waiting for the right person, the prince charming.”
Vesha emphasized that for her, finding the right man goes beyond surface-level attraction; it boils down to character.
“I haven’t thought about it, but it narrows down to character. A man who is of good character which is very hard to find nowadays coz there are a lot of masks that people are wearing,” she elaborated.
In her quest for love, Vesha expressed a desire for a partner who can challenge her intellectually and stand by her ambitions.
“I have not met my ideal man yet. I am single. It has to be someone who challenges me mentally in terms of how they think. Someone who is not threatened by the fact that I am a strong, independent woman and who supports me in whatever I am doing,” she stated.
With a lighthearted twist, Vesha added, “And he should be very hardworking and have a few dollars,” bringing a dash of humor to her standards.
She made it clear that self-worth is a guiding principle in her life, underlining that she won’t settle for less, asserting that any man intimidated by her personality simply isn’t the one for her.
“If you can’t match my energy, then you are in the wrong space. If the energies do not align, then we are not meant to be,” Vesha confidently declared.
In an empowering statement, she emphasized her self-worth: “I am an amazing person; I am a diamond to have. I am a gem for sure. So, if someone is missing out on my personality, it just means we don’t align.”
Vesha is resolute in her decision to maintain high standards and never compromise her identity for someone else.
