“I live with money, I sleep with money,” Eric Omondi boasts, showing off 13 million shillings!
Kenyan comedian turned activist, Eric Omondi, has joined the expanding group of individuals showcasing their wealth on social media platforms.
In a video posted on May 18, 2023, the outspoken comedian not only exhibited his affluence but also criticized former Kiss 100FM radio host, Oga Obinna, for alleging that he was financially bankrupt and a puppet being sponsored to hold his demo acts.
Eric showcased his money in six large suitcases filled with thousands of Kenyan shillings, asserting that their collective value amounted to millions. He proudly exhibited a display of money spread across his bed and even inside a trash can in the bathroom.
With a claim of having worked for 16 years, Eric boasted about his wealth, asserting that he surpassed the financial standing of most entertainers in Kenya.
In the initial box presented during the recording, he declared that it contained a stack of 13 million shillings. Notably, Eric stated that he earned his first three million shillings in 2008.
On Monday, May 15, 2023, a video emerged on social media featuring the visibly agitated former Nairobi governor, Mike Sonko. In the video, Sonko passionately defended his wealth and disproved the claims made by his critics he is broke.
In the video, Sonko, known for his colorful language, directed explicit language towards unidentified individuals while showcasing his riches. He proceeded to unveil stacks of money, both in U.S. dollars and Kenyan shillings, from gold-plated aluminum cases. The cases, totaling approximately six in number, were stacked together before Sonko selected two and proceeded to open them.
God forbid! We can only hope he invests the money wisely to avoid public outcry for help in the future.
