Eric Omondi categorically stated that he didn’t have a child or a wife while speaking during an interview with Wasafi media in Dar es Salaam.
The comedian claimed that he has tried in vain to get a wife or a child even after hosting a show meant to get him a spouse.
“I tried to get a wife from my show ‘Wife Material’ but I failed. I am turning 40 years old, sina mtu, sina mtoto, sina bibi,” said Eric Omondi.
The comedian’s statement implied that he was denying fathering Jacque Maribe’s son Zahari who was born on May 14th 2014.
However, Eric quickly clarified that he did not deny fathering Maribe’s son and that his remarks in Dar were taken out of context.
“I was talking about my life turning 40. I have no house or kids to go home to. I want kids who will welcome me when I get home. I need two kids this year (two girls), so pray for me,” Eric Omondi said during an interview with YouTuber Mungai Eve.
