Jaguar, real name Charles Njagua Kanyi, faces uncertain political future after losing UDA nomination to Simon Mbugua.
UDA nominations process in Starehe constituency which was held on April 14th witnessed all sort of drama – from long delays to violence and rigging allegations.
In a video trending on social media, Jaguar was seen violently being ejected from a polling station as voters jeered him.

In another video, Jaguar’s supporters are seen bitterly complaining as they showed pre-marked ballot papers which were giving Simon Mbugua an edge over the incumbent Starehe MP.

At the end of the shambolic exercise, Simon Mbugua emerged as the victor having defeated Jaguar.
The Starehe MP is yet to make a statement following the nomination exercise at the time of publishing this article.
It should be noted that Jaguar went through another shambolic nomination exercise in 2017 while seeking Jubilee party’s ticket to vie for Starehe constituency.
Jaguar painfully broke down in tears at Jubilee party headquarters as he protested being rigged out by Maina Kamanda. The party was forced to hand him the nomination and he went on to win Starehe constituency seat in the 2017 general election.
Will Jaguar cry again and get UDA nomination? Time will tell.
