“I asked my manager to drain all the money in my bank account,” Elsa Majimbo proudly said.
The US-based Kenyan comedienne Elsa Majimbo opened up about her noble move while speaking in a video she shared on InstaStories.
In the clip, the 22-year-old explained that she felt the desire to share with others and the need to give back to the society.
Elsa noted that she makes so much money and even after trying to spend it on nice things there is still a lot more left.
The young comedienne said she didn’t feel the need to keep all the money to herself yet there are other people who need it more than she does.
“A little over a year ago, I asked my manager and my business manager to drain all the money in my bank account and give it to people who need it more than I do. My reasoning was, as a 20-year-old I couldn’t justify earning half a million dollars (over Ksh60 million). It’s on Forbes, it’s public information. I couldn’t justify that. Like I just didn’t need that kind of money to support my lifestyle. And don’t get me wrong, I don’t deprive myself of luxury, I fly first class, I like a nice Gucci bag, I love a nice Prada bag, but still, there’s more left,” she said.
