Eliud Kipchoge’s Crazy Net Worth Will Shock You

Kenya’s marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge is considered one of the best, richest and fastest athletes in our time.

Eliud Kipchoge currently holds the world record for the long-distance event after winning the 2018 Berlin Marathon with a time of 2:01:39.

And just recently, the veteran athlete won the Tokyo marathon 2021 olympics held in Japan.

However, what most people don’t know about the 36 year old Kipchoge born on 5th November 1984 is his net worth. The man is fairly rich!

According to sportsjone, Eliud Kipchoge has a net worth of $3 million, which is equivalent to 320 million Kenyan shillings. In 2018, Kipchoge raised £38,000 for his stellar performance in Berlin.

He also raised £534,000 to set a new world record. The star took home £39,000 by winning the 2018 London Marathon and banked £42,500 with his win in 2019.

Eliud Kipchoge is the only man on earth to run a full marathon under 2 hours during the Ineos challenge.

The Kenyan based runner made history when he broke the 2 hour barrier by running 1:59. Kipchoge ran the 42.195KM distance in a remarkable time of 1:59:40:2, proving that indeed no human was limited.

Thus, Vienna came out to witness history being made with thousands of spectators lining the course to support Kipchoge and his team of 41 pacemakers, featuring some of the best middle and long-distance runners on the planet.

Further, the 36 year old made another record a few weeks ago at Tokyo Olympics when he finished in 2:08:38 to become just the third man in history to defend a men’s marathon title. Definitely he also banked millions of money which we are yet to establish then add onto his networth!

This is what he said after running in less than 2 hours:

“It is a great feeling to make history in sport after Sir Roger Bannister [set the first sub-four-minute mile] in 1954. I am the happiest man in the world to be the first human to run under two hours and I can tell people that no human is limited. I expect more people all over the world to run under two hours after today.

“The pacemakers did a great job, they are among the best runners of all time. I thank them and appreciate them for accepting to do the job.

“I wanted to run under two hours and show that human beings can do a good job and lead a good life. It shows the positivity of sport. I want to make the sport an interesting sport whereby all human beings can run and together we can make this world a beautiful world.”

However, despite being one of the richest sportsmen in Kenya, Eliud Kipchoge is undoubtedly a humble man from the way he dresses to the way he speaks.

One thing that you never fail to notice in Eliud Kipchoge is his receptive and friendly smile at all times whether he wins his marathons or loses them.
