DJ Slahver ended up being flat broke last year and his ex-gospel singer Veronica Wanja aka Nicah the Queen chased him out of her house in Great Wall Estate in Athi River.
Nicah publicly announced she had parted ways with DJ Slahver in a post on social media on November 28, 2023.
“After so much consideration, @slahverdon and I have decided to go our separate ways. Thank you so much for the love you all accorded us!” she shared.
DJ Slahver has since come out to narrate his ordeal after Nicah broke up with him for going bankrupt.
In an exclusive interview with Kalondu Musyimi, Slahver said he slipped deep into depression after being dumped and lost 18 kilos.
“I lost weight because of the heartbreak, lack of appetite and social life. Before me and Nicah went separate ways, I was weighing 87Kgs and last week when I visited the hospital cos of the pneumonia, I was weighing 69Kgs,” he said.
Asked if he has moved on, Slahver said he was not ready to be in another relationship at the moment.
“Actually I don’t think it’s the right time for me to be in a romantic relationship with someone new because she might end up being a rebound which I’m highly avoiding,” he said.
DJ Slahver added that he was willing to get back with Nicah if she is willing to take her back.
“If things go well as I plan to adjust my career, why not go back because I don’t believe in breaking but fixing. Aging has taught me that you can have one person whom you can have 360 experience together including giving a relationship a break when it’s breaking you guys.”
