DJ Fatxo Breaks Silence After Being Cleared On Jeff Mwathi’s Murder

“I have gone through a very difficult period both emotionally and physically, and I know firsthand,” DJ Fatxo said in his statement

DJ Fatxo was on Wednesday cleared on the murder of Jeff Mwathi who was also his close friend.

The mixmaster cum Mugithi singer was vindicated since there was insufficient evidence linking him to the death which occurred on February 22 at his apartment in Kasarani.

Following the court’s ruling, DJ Fatxo has taken to social media to speak on the matter.

In a lengthy post, he first condoled Jeff’s family, friends and all who were affected by his death. He went on to note that the accusations that had been leveled against him had brought pain and hurt.

He however said that a thorough investigations by the authorities had proved he is innocent.

“I also want to take this opportunity to clear my name and to assure you all that I have been found not guilty after thorough investigations by the DCI detectives and the ODPP. While I am relieved to have this behind me, I know that there are still people who may be struggling with feelings of anger, frustration, and disappointment,” he stated.

He went ahead to remind people on the importance of not jumping into conclusions.

“I want to use this situation to remind all of us of the importance of not jumping to conclusions or cyberbullying anyone based on mere accusations or hearsay stories. As many of you know, I have gone through a very difficult period both emotionally and physically, and I know firsthand how damaging and hurtful it can be to be on the receiving end of false accusations and cyberbullying,” DJ Fatxo said.

He further urged Kenyans to use the moment to reflect on being compassionate, respectful and understanding towards each other.
