Gospel singer Eunice Njeri set a record after divorcing her ex-husband Isaac Bukasa alias Izzo immediately after their wedding.
The two got married in a colourful wedding held in Texas, US, on 27th November 2016.
Njeri left her newlywed husband hours after they exchanged vows sparking all sorts of rumours.
In September 2017, the gospel singer finally addressed her short-lived marriage to Izzo, claiming things didn’t work out because her heart was in Africa.
“On the 27th Nov 2016, Isaac and I did go to the altar to get married, but at the end of that day I realized one thing,i couldn’t do it my heart was somewhere else.
“Probably in Africa doing what I do best, am still trying to figure that out. I immediately left for Kenya and have been serving God the best way I know how.
“To all who supported Isaac and i am grateful may God bless you immensely. To all who were hurt in the process I apologize. The marriage was annulled (like it never happened). No papers were signed.
“Afterwards and we both made a decision to go our separate ways. I hope for your support and help as we move on. Like every other relationship we hit a rock, maybe a little too early but have since overcome. Consequently, we have decided to go our separate ways and hope for the very best. God bless you,” Eunice Njeri explained.
On August 15, 2022, Njeri revealed that she secretly remarried in 2021, got pregnant and gave birth to a baby boy.
“So in other news, 2019…met Mr. Muthii❤️, 2021 married him, 2022 blessed with a bouncing baby boy!!! Glory to God!!!
Haaya! As you were😀😀,” she wrote.

It turns out that Eunice Njeri and her husband are living in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Note that the singer said she divorced Izzo because she said her heart was in Africa.
So why did Eunice Njeri leave Izzo hours after their wedding?
Apparently Izzo has a criminal past that Njeri didn’t know about until after their wedding.
Izzo has been regarded as a sex offender and registered under the Texas sex offender registry since 2013.
This year, he reregistered again on the government-run Texas Department of Public Safety website of sex offenders, after he was arrested back in 2020 for soliciting a minor.
Izzo was among 15 people who were arrested for online solicitation of minor charges following a child trafficking investigation involving multiple agencies.
According to the information on the site, Izzo will be under probation and community supervision for the next 20 years (2042). He is also supposed to report to the probation officer every year.
Eunice Njeri had no idea Izzo was a registered sex offender when they were planning their wedding back in 2016.
When she did find out, she immediately annulled the marriage and left him before consummating the marriage.
An annulment is a legal ruling that erases a marriage by declaring the marriage null and void and that the union was never legally valid.
