Congolese Government Takes Over Burial Arrangement For Music Queen Tshala Muana 

The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo will organize the funeral of the late Tshala Muana who died on December 10, 2022.

On Monday, December 12, The Minister in charge of Culture, Arts and Heritage Jeannette Kavira Mapera visited the deceased’s home where he made the announcement.

Muana who died at the age of 64 was famous for songs like Karibu Yangu, Malu and Tshianza.

She had toured abroad, won several international awards and had recorded more than 20 albums.

Muana’s husband, Claude Mashala, announced the news of her death earlier on Saturday.

“Early in the morning, the good Lord took the decision to take the mother of the nation Tshala Muana, may the good Lord be glorified for all the good times he has given us here on earth, goodbye my mother,” he said.

The sad news was spread all over the world, where Rhumba’s lovers joined the networks to mourn him and send condolences to the relatives, friends and relatives of the veteran artist.

A veteran broadcaster in Kenya who is a lover of Rhumba music, Fred Obachi Machokaa confirmed this news through a short video he uploaded on his Facebook page.

“Heartbreaking news from the DRC. Queen of Mutwashi Tshala Muana also known as Elizabeth Muidikay passed away this morning due to complications of Blood Pressure. On behalf of #RogaRoga and all Rhumba fans in Kenya, we send our deepest condolences. Muana is a musician with whom I was very close,” Machokaa said sadly.
