Comedian Vinny Baite Recalls How Jalang'o Nearly Killed His Career Back In 2019

Vinny Baite almost gave up on comedy because of what Jalang’o said to him during an audition he will live to remember.

The fast rising comedian opened up about the incident after landing a new job at Milele FM.

Baite said his journey to success was not easy as he went on to reflect on when he nearly gave up on comedy altogether.

He said he considered giving up on comedy altogether after Jalang’o told him that his jokes were not funny and that he should go back to the drawing board.

Baite recalled that he was auditioning for a comedy gig on Maisha Magic where Jalang’o was part of the panel of judges.

He said a joke about his father not understanding how actors die in one movie and ‘resurrect’ to act in another movie.

The joke was so dry and Jalang’o told him to go back home and watch more movies with his father.

Baite took Jalango’s comment positively but he briefly quit comedy to focus on his study.

“Jalang’o akaniambia niende nyumbani niwatch movie na babangu nikijenga career yangu. But nlichukulia ikiwa positive ju either way nliona sijaperform poa hio time so nkaachana na auditions nka focus na kusoma,” Baite said.

Baite gave his comedy career a new lease of life after his comedy skits on YouTube went viral attracting viewers who appreciated his jokes.
