Citizen TV’s Francis Gachuri Quits His Job For Ministry Of Interior Role

Citizen TV’s journalist, Francis Gachuri has quit the on-screen media job after 16 years.

Francis Gachuri has been chosen to lead communications for the Interior Ministry, according to sources.

In his new job, Gachuri will be in charge of developing, executing, and assessing communication strategies that support the Ministry’s effective positioning and trust promotion as Secretary for Strategic Communication.

He will also oversee all internal and external communication channels at the Ministry of Interior and National Coordination, which is under CS Kithure Kindiki.

“I have spoken to my brother Francis Gachuri. I wish him well in his new assignment. Congratulations big brother on your new assignment at the interior,” says Former NTV reporter, Kennedy Murithi.

Gachuri has a long history in journalism, having worked as a Senior Political Reporter, Editor, and Commentator on Citizen TV’s News Gang show.

He also worked as a news presenter at the Inooro TV division of Royal Media Services, where he was the host of the Kiririmbi program. He frequently interviewed guests that hold strong opinions on politics and current events, particularly those from Kenya’s political spectrum.

Together with his colleagues, Gachuri also expressed his personal opinions on the state of politics on Citizen TV’s show, News Gang.

The appointment hasn’t been confirmed or rejected by Gachuri yet, but his Royal Media Services coworkers have confirmed that he has already notified the company of his departure.
