Maina Kageni has been hospitalized for a strange ailment that even his Classic FM co-host Daniel ‘Churchill’ Ndambuki alias Mwalimu King’ang’i can’t pronounce.
Kageni has been absent from his popular morning breakfast show on Classic FM raising concerns about his whereabouts.
Maina’s co-host Mwalimu King’ang’i has since confirmed that his colleague has been hospitalized for a strange condition which he couldn’t even pronounce or spell.
“I spoke to Maina and he is hospitalized. He is ailing from an ailment that has such a difficult English name. But he will be fine, it is a normal check. I keep telling him to stop going for checkups randomly. I tell him to persevere for it’s not a must to get checked,” said Mwalimu King’ang’i.
King’ang’i announced that Mike Mondo had stepped in for Maina until he recovers from what is ailing him.
He further stated that he doesn’t like going for checkups like Maina because it’s just bringing more problems to oneself.
“He [Maina] must do mandatory checks. I cannot go for random checkups, even when you keep taking a car to the garage, it will start developing issues. There are many things that are wrong with me but I persevere.”
Maina underwent surgery at the Aga Khan hospital in 2016 after he injured his leg – in yet another case why King’ang’i says he loves hospitals.
Maina reportedly injured his leg during his Tembea Kenya road trip in Kajiado. After consulting doctors, it was recommended that the presenter undergoes surgery.
