YouTuber Miss Trudy caused drama at the airport in Mombasa while demanding ‘her rights’.
Miss Trudy was involved in an altercation with security officers at the Moi International International Airport in Mombasa as she demanded to film the facility against the rules.
It all started when the Vlogger shared a short undated video of her bitter exchange with security officers who were blocking her from filming at the airport.
Miss Trudy, who appeared to be on a mission to expose the officers, accused the private security officers of calling the police on her for “creating content” at the facility.
“We got arrested for filming at the Airport! This is getting out of control! We have a right to create content without intimidation!” The YouTuber said in the post shared on Wednesday, April 19.

However, a longer version of the video shared on her Youtube channel shows a security officer requesting the content creator, who was shooting at the entrance of the facility, to clear the way for other passengers to pass.
The incident degenerated into an exchange as Miss Trudy accused other security officers, who responded to the scene, of harassment.
“Guys, we’re being harassed at the airport, these guys actually want to arrest us because we are filming,” Miss Trudy is heard saying angrily.
“No, this is getting out of control, this is too much. In fact, they went and brought the police to arrest me because I’m creating content.”
“This is Kenya! I’m just creating content. I’m leaving Mombasa, I’m going back to Nairobi, someone stops me at the entrance, starts harassing me telling me to stop creating content! I’m just tired!”
Many people blasted the YouTuber for demonstrating her ignorance as airports are protected areas that require prior authorisation to film.
Caroline Mutoko was among those who came out to slam the YouTuber for being ignorant to airport rules.
“Eish Miss Trudy 🤦🏾♀️ Lakini we who call ourselves content creators need to understand boundaries – legal, personal, zote. Zoooote,” Caroline Mutoko wrote on Facebook.
Facebook user Ba Sweti while commenting on Caroline’s post insisted that Miss Trudy was just being petty.
“Her’s is pettiness,” Ba Sweti wrote.
Replying to Ba Sweti, Caroline Mutoko said that Miss Trudy was not petty but just clueless about everything.
“Ba Sweti imagine no. She’s actually clueless. She believes that being a content creator over-rides EVERYTHING,” Caroline wrote.
