The mother of towering Kenyan social media star Bradley Marongo voiced her concern as she reveals a growing rift between them.
Known for his astounding 8.7-foot height, Bradley has seemingly become distant from his family amid his rise to fame.
In a heartfelt interview with Murende TV, Monica Marongo told viewers that her son has been dodging her attempts to communicate.
“Bradley ata saa hizi nkipiga simu yangu hashiki. Wale managers ako nao wawili wamemshika tu. Si rahisi anipigie simu. Juzi nilimpigia Monday tukakorofiana na yeye kabisa ata hakutaka niongee sana ju wale mamanager wenye wako nao ni wabaya, hawataki ata ule mtoto aongee na mimi, hawataki ata anipee kitu,” she lamented, suggesting that management is to blame for the disconnect.
Adding to her distress, Monica recounted her disappointment during a recent visit to Nairobi to see her son.
“Nilikua Nairobi, wakati mtoto alitoka Mombasa mara ya kwanza hakuna siku alikanyaga penye naishi na alipewa nyuma alilipiwa miezi tatu, ata nyumba yake yenye alipewa sijawaijua hio nyumba,” she shared, revealing she was unable to see him at all.
Concerned about his personal life, Monica expressed worry that Bradley is not only distancing himself from her but also from his wife and daughter.
She disclosed that he now has a new girlfriend in Nairobi who seems to be managing his communications.
“Alafu amepata kaschana kengine huku Nairobi, huyo mschana sasa ndo anareceive simu. Sasa ata hajui bibi yake,” Monica said, emphasizing the impact the new relationship is having on their family ties.
In her emotional plea, she urged this new girlfriend to remind Bradley of his family obligations, reiterating her need for support as she struggles with daily necessities.
“Ako na bibi na mtoto mmoja mschana,” she added, stressing the importance of family in a time that has seen her son’s life flip upside down due to fame.
As Bradley navigates the complexities of his newfound celebrity status, the question remains—will he reconnect with the loved ones he seems to have left behind?
