Baltasar Engonga Breaks Silence After His Sex Tapes Leaked

Baltasar Ebang Engonga has spoken for the first time since his explicit tapes leaked online sparking a controversy.

Engonga, a businessman in Equatorial Guinea, has been embroiled in a scandal involving over 400 explicit sex tapes, featuring wives of high-ranking officials and dignitaries, all of whom he had unprotected sexual encounters with.

The former Director General of the National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF), recorded dozens of sextapes some of which were filmed in his office.

Engonga has since broken his silence albeit without addressing his sex scandal.

On his Facebook page, Engonga has posted that he is feeling sad, along with a photo of him with his wife and children captioned: “Family is everything”.

Meanwhile Equatorial Guinea Vice-President Teodoro Obiang Mangue has said any officials found engaging in sex acts at work would be suspended as the act amounts to flagrant violation of the code of conduct.

The Vice President warned that civil servants caught having sex in their offices will face severe measures.

He has also ordered the installation of surveillance cameras in courts and ministries to combat indecent and illicit acts.

A statement from the vice-president’s office said the decision had been taken in the wake of the widely circulated videos of Engonga’s sex videos which had denigrated the image of the country.

The videos in question were leaked after Engonga was arrested on separate corruption charges.

The Vice-President lamented that that Engonga’s sex videos had been flooding social media and ordered telecommunications companies to curb the spread.

As head of the National Financial Investigation Agency, Engonga’s work involved tackling financial crimes such as money laundering.

Equatorial Guinea’s chief prosecutor Anatolio Nzang Nguema told state TV that if Engonga was found to have been infected with a sexually transmitted disease he would be prosecuted for an offence against public health.

The prosecutor said Engonga would be tested for STIs following the controversy over his sex videos, where he was seen having unprotected sex with multiple women.

Engonga is nicknamed ‘Bello’ – Spanish for beautiful – on account of his good looks.
