Bahati and Diana’s house help revealed she is paid as much as KDF major to many people’s surprise, but the couple comfortably afford to pay their employees well.
Bahati’s former videographer JT Mzeiya has revealed that the singer and his wife Diana jointly rake in about Ksh3 million a month from YouTube.
Speaking during an interview with Lax Media Africa, JT Mzeiya said that he used to manage Bahati and Diana’s YouTube channels and asserted that couple make a lot of money from the video-sharing website.
“Mtu kama Bahati when I was working for him video kama ya Diana ingekua around 100,000 saa ingine 160,000 views… Wanaingiza karibia 3 million every month ju ya YouTube. You see what happens with YouTube is all about watch hours, how many times do people click your channel. It’s not just about a certain video,” JT Mzeiya explained.
He said that watch hours is what determines how much a YouTuber is paid from ads running on their channels.
With Bahati and Diana Marua making millions a month, they can surely afford to pay their house help a five figure salary.
In March this year, the couple’s house help Irene Nekesa while speaking during an interview on NTV disclosed that she is in the same pay bracket with KDF major.
KDF Majors earn from Ksh102,106 in the beginning of their careers, and Ksh150,000 when the get up the command chain. Diana’s house help revealed that she is paid a monthly salary of Ksh100,000.
