Former Citizen TV anchor Anne Kiguta demands Ksh2.7 million monthly upkeep from her baby daddy.
Kiguta accuses Jomo Gecaga of failing to fulfil his parental responsibilities to their two biological children and another child he didn’t sire with her.
The media personality demands that Ksh2.7 million upkeep money should be deposited into her account by the 5th day of every month, beginning June 2023.
“The money will be used for feeding the three children, monthly shopping, house rent, entertainment, utility bills and salaries for the house nanny, housekeeper, chef, driver and security guards,” court papers say.
Alternatively, Kiguta is demanding for a lumpsum payment of Ksh413 million as maintenance costs for expenditures for the three children until they turn 18.
She claims her baby daddy, who is retired President Uhuru Kenyatta’s nephew and also served as his personal assistant, is rich and well capable of meeting her demands.
“He is a wealthy man. He runs various businesses and has a liking for the best things in life,” Kiguta said in court papers.
Kiguta and Jomo Gecaga got married in 2015. The former Citizen TV anchor walked into the marriage with a daughter from another relationship.
A year later on July 1, 2016, Anne Kiguta gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl, sired by Jomo.
Gecaga, however, dumped Kiguta in 2018 and moved on with former KTN presenter girl Lola Hannigan.
Hannigan and Gecaga are expecting their second child together this year.
Jomo Gecaga has fathered at least five children with different women. The case Kiguta filed against him has been set for 11 July.
