Anne Kiguta Posts Her Son Uhuru For The First Time After Suing Jomo For Ksh2.7 Million Monthly Upkeep

Former Citizen TV anchor Anne Kiguta stepped out with her 7-year-old son Uhuru for a movie date.

Kiguta posted her son Uhuru for the first time since he was born, she has always been protective about her private life.

The media personality unveiled her son Uhuru, albeit while hiding his face, as they went to the cinema to watch a movie together.

In a series of photos seen by Kenyareports.com, Kiguta posed with her son together with Russian Ambassador to Kenya, Dimitry Maksyimichev who was also at the cinema.

“Prince Charming and I had a super date mummy-son date as we were invited to watch the first ever film shot in space by HE the Russian Amb. to Kenya Dimitry Maksyimichev,” Anne Kiguta wrote.2

She further added that her son Uhuru enjoyed the movie so much, he didn’t even move.

“My little guy was almost quite literally over the moon to watch ‘The Challenge’, the first ever feature film shot in space at the ISS. He could barely blink as the cosmonauts did their drills and the rocket launched,” she said.

Kiguta’s movie date with her son comes months after she sued her baby daddy Jomo Gecaga for child upkeep as reported earlier by Kenyareports.com.

Kiguta and Jomo Gecaga got married in 2015. The former Citizen TV anchor walked into the marriage with a daughter from another relationship.

A year later on July 1, 2016, Anne Kiguta gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl, sired by Jomo.

Gecaga, however, dumped Kiguta in 2018 and moved on with former KTN presenter girl Lola Hannigan.

In her suit, the media personality demanded that Ksh2.7 million upkeep money should be deposited into her account by the 5th day of every month, beginning June 2023.

“The money will be used for feeding the three children, monthly shopping, house rent, entertainment, utility bills and salaries for the house nanny, housekeeper, chef, driver and security guards,” court papers say.

Alternatively, Kiguta demanded for a lumpsum payment of Ksh413 million as maintenance costs for expenditures for the three children until they turn 18.

She claimed her baby daddy, who is retired President Uhuru Kenyatta’s nephew and also served as his personal assistant, is rich and well capable of meeting her demands.

In his mitigation, Gecaga through his lawyer told the court that he has been diligently taking care of his twins with Kiguta even though he claimed the journalist got pregnant for him without his consent.

He further denied that he was in a 5-year relationship with the former news anchor as she claimed in her suit, revealing that he had not been intimate with Kiguta since the twins were born.
