Anerlisa Muigai received an offer to be featured on Netflix reality series alongside celebs across African continent but she politely declined.
Netflix reality series ‘Young, famous and African’ which premiered on March 18th features a star-studded cast of the most talked-about male and female celebrities in Africa.
It follows 8 African celebrities who have a huge social media following and who usually receive intense media coverage across borders.
The reality series follows a crew of famed, affluent stars as they work and play, flirt and feud in Johannesburg, South Africa.
‘Young, famous and African’ reality series features;
South African actress, TV host, and singer Khanyi Mbau. She is also the sister of famous SA celebrity Lasizwe Dambuza.
South African mix master Quinton Masina who is popularly known as Naked DJ, Nigerian fashion designer Jeremiah Ogbodo, who is popularly known as Swanky Jerry.
South African millionaire and TV personality Andile Ncube, South Africa-born, Zimbabwean rapper Nadia Nakai, Nigerian model, actress, and presenter Annie Macaulay-Idibia and 2Baba.
And of course Diamond Platnumz and his baby mama Zari the Boss Lady.
Kenyans were curious to know why no celeb from the country was picked to be featured in the Netflix reality series but were surprised to discover that Anerlisa Muigai turned down the offer.
The Keroche heiress while speaking during an online discussion on why Netflix snubbed Kenyan celebs revealed that she was actually approached to star in the reality series but she was not interested.
“No jokes aside, they sent me an email asking if I was interested to be in it but I turned it down,” Anerlisa Muigai said while responding to social media user discussing which Kenyan celeb would be most suitable to be featured on the Netflix reality series.
