Ali Kiba has insisted that his relationship with his Kenyan wife Amina is still intact.
In an interview that was organized at a beach, the Mahaba singer was asked about his current relationship status because his fans are in confusion due to the reports that have been surrounding his marriage.
“Watu wanatamani sana kujua status yako ya kimapenzi. Wanasema hawajui kama wewe ni bachela ama wewe ni mume wa mtu au wewe mchumba wa mtu?” the interviewer posed.
Responding to the question, Ali Kiba reminded him that he had a wedding previously.
The Bongo artist added that if he becomes a bachelor in future he will surely notify his fans and followers.
“Umesahau kwamba harusi ilikuwepo mambo gani haya. Ubachela bwana niliuaga na kama ubachela ukija tena wataona kabisa. Tena nitawaambia ubachela ndio huu hapa,” he said.
The interviewer further pressed him to address ongoing rumors that he is no longer together with Amina.
“Watu si lazima wacomment. Wanaruhisiwa kucomment,” the musician said.
The interviewer further sought to know if Amina was at home at the time they were engaging in the interview.
“Mimi niko huku ndugu yangu nitajua kama yuko nyumbani ama kaenda hospitali ama kaenda wapi, ” he responded.
This however did not sit well with Amina who quickly shared her reaction on the matter.
“Ratchetness.Tuheshimiane @officialalikiba,” she said online.
Ali Kiba and his wife have been encountering marital problems for a long time now.
The couple no longer live together but Ali Kiba maintains that they have arguments just like a normal couple but their relationship is intact.
Earlier this year, Amina shared an insight of how things were on the ground by publicly demanding Ali Kiba, who is the father of her two children, to sign their divorce papers.
“I have seen the need to address this since it’s becoming unbearable. I am tired of being disrespected publicly since people do not understand what happens when you live in someone’s shadow as their wife,” the frustrated woman wrote.
She noted that she got out of Ali Kiba’s life but he was still refusing to sign the divorce papers. The mother of two further said that Ali Kiba was living his life like a free man while she was still stuck under the title of being his wife.
