Amber Ray is grateful to her former husband Zaheer Jhanda who is now the MP for Nyaribari Chache.
Jhanda who vied on a UDA ticket in the August 9, 2022, general election, secured an early win in the Nyaribari Chache constituency in Kisii county after flooring veteran politician Richard Tong’i of Jubilee party.
The former Nyaribari Chache MP conceded defeat even before IEBC announced the official results.
Amber Ray was married to Jhanda as a second wife. Speaking on her YouTube channel, the mother of one said she met Zaheer while she was very broke and he gave her a life she had never had before.
“The guy did not have a ring when he approached me. There were other beautiful girls there. He said Hi, and asked for my number and that is how it all began,” she said.
“He never mentioned to me that he was married and there were no signs he was a married man. There were no phone calls. He would leave me with his phone and allow me to pick up his calls. He only told me he had two kids and they lived together with their mum and a nanny. He took me everywhere he was going and introduced me to his friends in the political world as his wife. These are top politicians,” Amber Ray added.
The socialite further disclosed that she met a lot of powerful people in Kenya including President Uhuru Kenyatta through the Nyaribari Chache MP.
“He is the guy that made me meet Mr. President in Eldoret. We went to receive President Uhuru Kenyatta in Eldoret. I know all these people because of him. I knew Mpango wa Kando ni wa kufichwa but this guy went with me everywhere,” she said.
