Akuku Danger’s Chronic Condition Drains His Bank Account Dry

Akuku Danger has been battling Sickle Cell Anemia, a chronic blood condition that has kept him in and out of the hospital for years.

The comedian, whose real name is Mannerson Oduor Ochieng, was rushed to the hospital on Thursday, June 8 after developing some lung complications.

The latest hospitalization comes just months after he was admitted in a health facility in critical condition.

The former Churchill show comedian was admitted to Nairobi West Hospital in late December 2021 after he got seriously sick.

He was ultimately discharged from Hospital on January 27th 2022 and allowed to go home even though he owed the facility a lot of money.

By the time he was being discharged, Akuku’s bill had accrued to Ksh2 million. A fundraiser was held but didn’t raise the full amount.

Akuku’s girlfriend Sandra Dacha announced on January 28th that the comedian entered into a legal agreement with Nairobi West Hospital to clear his bill in instalments.

On March 26th Akuku held an event at Nairobi Cinema to raise money for his pending hospital bill which stood at Ksh1.5 million at the time.

The event which acted as a fundraiser saw several big names in Kenyan comedians perform in support of Akuku Danger.

The comedian was yet again rushed to the hospital on June 8 just as he was clearing the previous hospital bill.

Another bill awaits him and the more days he spends in hospital the more money he accrues.  Akuku Danger’s chronic condition is surely draining his bank account.
