Akothee decided to show off her academic papers on social media at a time when politicians like Johnson Sakaja have come under scrutiny for allegedly having fake degrees.
The mother of five flashed what appeared to be a Bachelor of Business Management degree from Mount Kenya University in a clip she posted on Insta Stories.
“I do not want to hear someone saying I do not have the (academic) papers. My mom won’t let me rest. Let me see my schoolmasters,” Akothee bragged.
In March 2022, Akothee expressed regret for getting married at a tender age while she was supposed to be in school.
The mother of five said she had enrolled in school to get her degree but lamented that it was quite tough for her.

When I was supposed to be in school ,I decided to be a wife ☹️☹️
Now instead of being A wife ,I am now in school at old Age this life No balangs at all .
“But I must attain my Degree for my mom so she is happy to have that kofia in her home ????? Akoth isetieko sikindi cha ?!!! I am tired of this question ??Waking up at 4.30 am has become a norm. Huu mwaka ni wangu,” wrote Akothee.
