Nani Alisema? DP Ruto Denies Agreeing to Share Power with Mudavadi

Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, William Samoei Ruto has come out to deny all the claims and allegations of agreeing to power share with Musalia Mudavadi.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party leader has dismissed those reports after his merger with Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula and ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi to form the Kwanza Moja alliance.

According to a press release released by UDA Secretary-General, Veronica Maina thwarted the report by The Standard Newspaper dated January 29 that read; “Revealed: How UDA allies plan to share power” terming it nothing short of speculative.

“These media reports are speculative and based on journalistic assumptions. The details of the cooperation between UDA, ANC and Ford Kenya, and any other Political party if all will be formally unveiled by the principals at an appropriate time,” Maina said.

Veronica Maina urged the supporters of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance to ignore the misinformation going rounds on social media platforms and mainstream media because it’s not true and those reports should be treated as such, lies and speculations.

Maina noted that this is the work of their political enemies who are busy planting such fake news in an effort of trying to achieve their hidden political goal when it’s said and done.

“Our cooperation has and continues to create earthquake tremors across the political scene of our country and our competitors are sponsoring such fake or speculative headlines in order to achieve a certain narrative. We remind our competitors that ‘Hatupangwingwi’ na ‘Tusidanganyane’,” Maina added.

The Saturday Standard purported that Deputy President William Ruto had agreed together with ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula to share power and even detailed how the three principals would share the government if their coalition was to emerge the victors in the upcoming August 9 presidential election.

According to the exclusive piece written by The Saturday Standard Ruto would be the Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate who would choose his running mate. In Nairobi County, UDA would nominate the Deputy Governor and field the Senator and Women Representative positions.

The report also indicated the ANC Party will be allowed to field Governors for Kakamega, Vihiga, and Nairobi Counties. ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi will become the Chief Minister and he will also be given the Finance and the Devolution ministries.

Ford Kenya party will be given the opportunity to field Candidates for Senatorial seats, gubernatorial candidates in Bungoma and Trans Nzoia County.

Moses Wetangula’s party Ford Kenya would also get a cabinet position and other top government positions just the same as the ANC Party.
