Veteran Swahili Radio presenter Munene Nyagah is making headlines after he encountered a minor accident.
According to reports, Munene was driving under the influence of alcohol, hence ending up in a ditch at an undisclosed location.
In a video circulating online, a seemingly intoxicated Munene was captured engaging bystanders who were asking him to let them help.
“Kubali gari itoke, kaa kando tukusaidie kaka” one of the witnesses told him and he responded saying, “Halafu?”
The video has elicited mixed reactions, a section of Kenyans criticising him as others defended him, hoping that he wouldn’t land into trouble with his employers.
“He is human and human is to error,” read a comment online.
Another netizen said, ” Please, people are dealing with a lot even when you see them smiling on TV, get help Munene.”
“Hamtaki kusema alcoholic mnasema under the influence?” read a separate comment as another wrote, ” I thought he should know the traffic regulation.”
“Wait, this seems to be their life. Kuna wengine tulikuwa nao conference mahali, in the evening they drunk themselves mpaka hawajielewi , saa hizo wamevaa corporate Tshirts. I hope it ain’t in anyway related to their job,” read a separate comment
