Popular Mugithi star Samuel Muchoki, better known as Samidoh, has made a startling revelation about his personal life, claiming he has been celibate for the past 10 months.
The revelation, which raised eyebrows among his fans, comes despite the fact that Samidoh visited his wife Edday Nderitu and their children in the United States just five months ago in June 2024.
Samidoh shared this unexpected update during a recent performance at Capricorn Lounge in Thika.
The singer, known for his captivating stage presence, delivered an electrifying performance that had his fans on their feet.
However, the moment turned personal when fans interrupted him while performing one of his songs, in which he denies being promiscuous.
Fans shouted, accusing him of being promiscuous. In response, the father of five paused and posed a question to the crowd, asking them to count how many wives he has.
When the fans shouted his wife Edday’s name, Samidoh surprised everyone by declaring that he is no longer sleeping around.
He went on to claim that he has been celibate for the past 10 months.
“Hiyo mambo ingine ni ya kitambo, I have gone for 10 months without seeing the nakedness of mtu wa nje (That was in the past; I’ve gone 10 months without seeing the nakedness of someone else),” Samidoh said.
The singer’s admission left many of his fans puzzled, especially given his recent visit to the US, where he spent time with Edday and their children.
Questions have since emerged about how his claim of celibacy aligns with his family visit as Samidoh effectively claims he didn’t sleep with his wife during his visit.
