YY Comedian recently shared insights into his new relationship with Noela, his new partner after parting ways with Marya Okoth.
The comedian, who has openly embraced his fast-paced romance, revealed that his family wholeheartedly welcomed Noela, with his mother giving her a full endorsement.
“Mama aliweka tick kubwa na akasema kijana yangu songa na maisha, and we all want to be happy,” he shared, grateful for the blessing.
Discussing why he moved in quickly with Noela, YY cited her qualities as hardworking, mature, ready to settle, and peaceful.
“She’s God-fearing. She’s more spiritual than I and her parents are God-fearing and humble,” he added, expressing admiration for her family’s values and their unwavering support of their union.
YY revealed the importance of building a family as he grows older, saying, “I am a family person na nikingoja hata 6 months, naingia 32, 7 months naingia 33.”
He shared that delaying too long after a long-term relationship can make it harder to move on and be ready for another, explaining his prompt steps toward creating a stable future with Noela.
Reflecting on his recent visit to Noela’s parents in Kamukuywa, Bungoma County, YY recounted a heartwarming experience.
“Walinipiga reception nzuri sana…Nilipigwa approval roho safi. Visa ilikuwa approved vizuri,” he praised, adding that he was touched by their hospitality and generosity.
In an interview with Milele FM’s Ankali Ray, YY clarified that although he and Marya were not officially married, they treated each other as spouses as they were in a ‘come-we-stay’ situationship.
“Let me put that straight and maintain some respect. In as much as we didn’t get married legally, it’s just the documents that we didn’t have. We treated each other as husband and wife. Papers are just a formality,” he stated, emphasizing the depth of their relationship.
The breakup announcement was made by Marya on Instagram on September 5, 2024.
She cited unavoidable circumstances for the separation, asking for privacy as they transition.
“Hello and good morning. We are saddened to let you know that Marya Okoth and YY Comedian will no longer be together due to unavoidable circumstances. Thank you for your love and support through our union. We expect individual privacy from each one of you,” Marya said.
The couple shares a 3-year-old daughter, and Marya rose to fame in 2023 after starring in A Nurse Toto, produced by comedian Eddie Butita.
