Content Creators Nicholas Kioko and his wife Wambo Ashley have opened up on their journey as parents for twins.
The couple found out that they were expecting twins when the pregnancy was 6 months old. The identical twin boys were born in February 2023.
In a candid interview with Mungai Eve, the couple admitted that it is not an easy task to raise twins and that it requires one to be financially stable.
Wambo also said that she could not breastfeed the boys exclusively to the required period of 6 months, forcing them to introduce their children to baby formula when they were just three months old.
“Raising twins is not like raising one child. Twins you must be stable. I breastfed them until three months and I was unable to continue. Not that I lacked milk per say I didn’t have a lot milk but I could have managed. It reached three months and I was just got tired breastfeeding the two children. We decided to give them NAN,” Wambo said.
Kioko on the other hand revealed that they could spend up to Kshs58,000 a month on the baby formula.
“At the time, we used to buy one can at Kshs1,960, and it would only last for 18hours,” the YouTuber said. “Don’t bear children if you don’t have money.
