Kimani Mbugua has broken silence days after Mike Sonko confirmed that he had fully recovered from mental illness, several months after being admitted to a rehabilitation in Mombasa.
In a video shared online, the former Citizen TV journalist said that he has recovered, thanking all those who have supported and prayed for him for the entire period.
Mbugua said that the prayers have worked as he was better than he was a few months ago.
“My dear fellow Kenyans, I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart because of the outpouring love that you have shown me. I have no words. I want to say thank you for those who are supporting me and those who of you who keep praying for me. I am well now I am not where I was four months ago. I am healed,” he affirmed.
“I can only thank God and I can say thank you for your prayers it has worked and God has been kind to me He has made me whole again. I have broken apart more than 15 times but God brings me together each and every one of those times and I always come out stronger. Asanteni sana na Mungu awabariki,” Mbugua added.
Mbugua recently warmed the hearts of Kenyans as he passionately sang along Sauti Sol’s song during an event at the rehabilitation center.
