Gen Z activist Kasmuel Mcoure has declared interest in vying for a political seat in 2027.
In a recent interview, the 27 year old said that it doesn’t matter whether Kenyans unfollow him because he is sure of what he desires.
Kasmuel added that followers don’t matter as long as he has a clear strategy on how to win elections.
“For me am very clear I want to take political power. No Kenyan is going to push me that is why I keep on saying at this point I don’t care whether I have 3 followers one follower as long as it is clear in my mind on how to take political power. Getting an elective position, organising and ensuring I do my best to get to on a ballot as early as 2027,” he said.
He however did not reveal the exact political seat he was going for arguing that it was too early to declare that.
“Just as a member of government. It is too early am still looking at the data, mapping out the places, seeing what my strengths would be because you might have this whole dream and then realise you have the disadvantage of time, resources,” he said.
Kasmuel has been facing negativity in the recent past after he declared that only DP Rigathi Gachagua should be kicked out of office during a public participation at the Bomas of Kenya. To make matters worse, his silence on the attack on Morara Kebaso saw him further subjected to public scrutiny and criticism.
As a result, he has encountered mass unfollowing on his social media platforms.
“Why would anyone threaten me with de-platforming? The real challenge is de-platforming me from your mothers’ hearts because they see beyond the nonsense and sensationalism you’re trying to advance,” he responded to those threatening to unfollow him.
