Old Video Of Hassan Joho Predicting Gachagua’s Downfall Surfaces

Mining and Blue Economy CS Hassan Joho in the past predicted that embattled Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua wouldn’t survive in the Kenya Kwanza administration.

In a past political really in Kiambu, Joho took locals down the memory lane, explaining how it was long before they got the country’s top posittion when Daniel Arap Moi took over from Jomo Kenyatta.

Joho warned Kiambu locals that the current president William Ruto would also not provide room for them in 50 years, if he clinched the seat.

“Watu wa Kiambu, baada ya Hayati Jomo Kenyatta Mwenyezi Mungu kumchukua mbele za haki, Moi alipoingia mlingoja miaka mingapi mpate serikali ingine? 24 years. Unajua kwamba vile Ruto amepanga, lau akiingia serikali nyinyi watu wa mlima mtangoja miaka 50. Mnajua hivyo?” the former Mombasa governor said.

According to him, Ruto was clever to name Gachagua as his running mate because he was a criminal who wouldn’t be allowed to lead and would end up in jail.

“Na nitawaambia kwanini, Ruto amejipanga. Jambo la kwanza alilolifanya alichukua mhalifu kama naibu wake. Ndio maana akiingia katika srikali na hawezi ingia mpango yake iilikuwa ni Gachagua afungwe halafu achague mtu mwingine ambaye anataka na hatoki hapa mlimani. Alikuwa amepanga kubadilisha katiba akae hapo,” Joho said then.

Gachagua’s first stage of removal from office was conducted on Tuesday October 8, with 281 MPs supporting his removal from office.

44 MPs, on the other hand, voted to save him from impeachment.

The motion for his removal now proceeds to the Senate.
