In a candid interview with Parents Africa magazine, prominent Kenyan businessman Kennedy Rapudorevealed his thoughts on fatherhood and the regrets that haunt him.
Rapudo, who has children with three different women including with socialite Amber Ray whom he is currently dating, confessed that he wishes he could have loved one woman, married her, and raised their children together.
“There are many things that I would like to do differently as a father,” Rapudo shared.
“For example, I would like to have children with only one woman, but we live in a different world.”
Rapudo’s heartfelt confession highlights the challenges many modern fathers face in maintaining relationships with their children amidst complex personal lives.
He urged fellow fathers in similar situations to persevere and continue fighting for their children.
In the same interview, Rapudo revealed the story of how he met Kenyan socialite Amber Ray, who is now the mother of his child – a daughter.
He recounted a memorable encounter at a popular spot on Thika Road, where people often parked their cars to relax and drink. It was there that he noticed Amber Ray looking at him in a way that piqued his interest.
“So, I went there while parking the car, and then I realized that there was a woman who was looking at me in a way that made me want to approach her,” Rapudo explained.
Taking the initiative, he started a conversation with her, and they eventually began dating after both had ended their previous relationships.
“I was the one who went there and talked to her, admitting that she was beautiful, and I had seen her on social media. He grew up with someone and I grew up with someone; the moment he became single, I ran,” Rapudo said, reflecting on the whirlwind romance.
Rapudo’s revelations offer a glimpse into the personal struggles and heartfelt desires of one of Kenya’s well-known businessmen, shedding light on the complexities of modern fatherhood and relationships.
