21-year old Vincent Mboya is now ready to pay back Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o after offsetting his Ksh. 18,000 rent arrears earlier this month.
The young man claimed that he had been offended by Jalang’o’s comment after settling his rent something that made him vow to return the money sooner or later.
“Your rent has been paid. Call your caretaker to confirm it. But you should stop looking for sympathy, go out there and work,” Jalang’o had told Mboya.
Mboya said he has now raised the amount the comedian paid for his rent and he is willing to top it up a little more just to show appreciation to him.
Speaking during an interview, Mboya gave Jalang’o 48 hours to go and pick his money
“Felix Odiwuor (Jalang’o), come for your money. I’m giving you 48 hours you come collect your money,” he said while counting the cash.
He went ahead to ask the radio presenter to suggest a location that they can meet so that he could hand back the money.
Mboya however said that he was returning the money in good faith.
“I’m returning the money in good faith…If he wants me to exceed it I will do. My name is the prize,” he said.
Mboya was about to be thrown out of his rented house after failing to pay rent for three consecutive months.
Having no other option, he took to the streets armed with a banner asking for help from Jalang’o and his colleague Kamene Goro hoping that his message will get to the duo.
