Esther Arunga’s Husband Quincy Set To Be Released From Prison Hours After Being Handed 11-Year Jail Term

Quincy Timberlake was sentenced to 11 years in prison for the death of his son in Australia.

Brisbane’s Supreme Court handed Quincy the 11-year jail sentence after finding him guilty of manslaughter about a week ago.

The former Kenyan presidential candidate was found guilty for his son’s death in Brisbane in 2014.

Quincy had previously been charged with the murder of his son Sinclair, but the prosecution accepted a guilty plea on the lesser charge of manslaughter.

He killed his son Sinclair, will ‘exorcising’ demons out of him.

However, having been in custody for more than nine years since the incident occurred, Quincy is set to be paroled with a supervision order in place.

Both the prosecution and defence had argued for a creative sentence, as Timberlake’s desperately uncertain future could see him deported or put in detention due to his visa status.

Timberlake could either be deported or placed in detention after his visa was denied by the Immigration department.

But Brisbane’s Supreme Court Justice Paul Freeburn rejected this, citing deterrence, and demonstrating to the community the seriousness of the crime.

He noted Timberlake had already spent over nine years in pre-sentence custody, “an extraordinarily long period”.

He ordered that time already served would count towards his sentence and set a parole date from September 29, with a supervision order in place when parole was granted.
