After his public declaration that he likes men, it outburst adds complexity to this situation compared to Chira’s previous statement about his sexual orientation.
Just two months before this controversial live session, he had publicly denied being gay during an interview with a local blog.
In response to a question about common misconceptions surrounding him, Chira had straightforwardly stated that he was not gay, despite his previous portrayal of a gay persona on social media.
This revelation left many of his followers puzzled, as it appeared to contradict the image he had cultivated online.
Chira had previously explained that his portrayal of a gay character was a deliberate choice to cater to the preferences of Kenyan audiences and to gain popularity on platforms like TikTok, and of course make money.
Fans now feel he needs a mental check because of the things he does and says, whether sober or intoxicated.
