Diana Marua, wife of musician Bahati has revealed the dynamics of their financial partnership, shedding light on her journey from financial dependence to thriving together with her husband. Diana opened up about how Bahati has been her support system since they met, sharing some candid insights into their relationship.
In a candid conversation during a Q&A session with her house helpers, Diana recounted how her life took a significant turn when she first crossed paths with Bahati. She recalled having very little to her name for two years, during which she not only learned valuable lessons from Bahati but also embarked on a journey to make a name for herself in the limelight.
“One day, he told me, ‘I cannot facilitate the lifestyle that you had before, and if it is going to be difficult moving forward, this cannot work.’ He was incredibly straightforward. I trimmed my nails, removed my nail polish, and went all-natural. I believe that was a test of time. I prayed for God to test me with him so that He could see my patience and seriousness,” Diana narrates.
During those initial years, Diana revealed that she had no financial independence, often wondering about the man she had chosen to build a life with. However, as time went on, Bahati not only provided financial support but also guided her on how to thrive, even in moments of doubt.
Diana expressed her deep gratitude for Bahati’s unwavering belief in her, even when she lacked self-confidence. She described him as her “everything,” acknowledging that her success was a result of both Bahati’s support and divine intervention.
Diana further disclosed that she has never truly had her own money, as any income generated from her businesses is a shared endeavor.
She and Bahati jointly decide how to allocate and utilize their funds. “Any business that Diana has done, and I receive payment, it’s always, ‘Babe, what should we do with this money?’ Sometimes, I inform him of the balance in my account, asking for his input on how to manage it,” she explained.
Apart from their financial partnership, Diana also emphasizes her commitment to remaining humble before her husband Bahati, regardless of their respective financial strengths. She spoke of her submission to him in their relationship, citing it as a fundamental aspect of their bond.
