Following the alleged online leakage of Zari Hassan’s passport by a club promoter, the renowned Young, Famous & African personality took to video to dismiss claims that she is married to a significantly younger man.
In the video, Zari addressed the speculations surrounding her relationship with professional boxer Shakib Cham Lutaaya, emphasizing that there have been unfounded suggestions that he is either the same age or even younger than her own son, aged below 18.
“Many people have been saying, ‘Oh, you’re involved with a child, he’s almost the same age as your son.’ He is not a child! He is a fully grown man,” Zari vehemently stated.
Zari further shared that the leaked passports had an unintended positive outcome, as they revealed her husband’s true age. His passport, which was also leaked, clearly indicated that he is 30 years old, effectively disproving the notion that he is underage or significantly younger than her.
Through her video response, Zari aimed to debunk the misconceptions surrounding her relationship and affirm that her husband is indeed an adult, eradicating any doubts about their age disparity.
In the video Zari Hassan vehemently denied the authenticity of her leaked passport, which indicates her birth year as 1978.
She says, “The information on passports can be altered when people travel, including names and birth dates. These changes can be made for various reasons, but for me, it holds no significance. No one can take away my true age. I was born on the 23rd of September, 1980. This fact is known by my family, my parents, my siblings, the people I attended school with, and those who have known me.”
In her statement, the socialite and reality TV star stood firm in her belief that her genuine birth date is in fact in 1980, and she cited her close relationships and personal history as evidence supporting her claim.
Amidst the chaos, Zari Hassan found herself unable to attend her own White Party in Birmingham, UK, leading to a wave of disappointment among her fans.
The mother of five expressed her sincere apologies, citing contractual disputes with the event promoter known as Lady Naa as the reason behind her absence, the promoter allegedly leaked the info to distance herself from the blame.
