“Nimebarikiwa sana so for me mme wangu bila hata kumtesa, nilimwomba tu Kurani,” Zari revealed
Socialite and businesswoman Zari Hassan has revealed that only a Quran was paid as her dowry by Shakib Lutaaya during their marriage that took place during Ramadhan this year.
Speaking to Tanzanian reporters, Zari said that she only wanted a Quran, since she has everything that she ever wanted in life.
She further said that she wants to work on her faith and that is why she requested for the holy book.
“Right now, ukiangalia, I have everything I have ever wanted in this world. Mungu amenibariki. I have a beautiful life watoto wangu wazima mimi mwenyewe mzima. Biashara zangu zinatembea napata kazi nyingi, nimebarikiwa sana so for me mme wangu bila hata kumtesa, nilimwomba tu Kurani because I am trying to up my faith game. Mimi ni Muislamu lakini saa zingine inakuaga si hivi…,” the mother of five said.
According to her, Shakib was astonished by her request but he went ahead and got her one.
At the same time she said that they were contented with the private marriage ceremony but they will be having a white wedding later in the year.
“Ukifanya party hapo ndio watu wanasema amefanya party, mwenyewe kajilipia, ana show off, halafu usipofanya pia wanaongea. This thing was between me and him kwenye Ramadhan akasema you know what we need to do this tukafanya. Na because si kitu ya kufanya kwenye showbiz kila mtu ajue so we just did it because it is so beautiful us and family. Inshaallah sometime maybe aend of this year then we can have our white wedding.
She also noted that the white wedding will take place in Uganda where all their families are.
