Sauti Sol members have announced that they will take a break from working as a group.
In a statement released on Saturday May 20, the music group said its members will go separate ways after a world tour that will end in September 3.
“This tour is a celebration of a remarkable journey filled with excitement for the future and a testament to the enduring bond of friendship and partnerships built over 20 years in the industry,” part of the statement read.
Sauti Sol noted that the world tour will give chance to their fans to interact with them one last time before the band takes a break from group projects for a while.
The band further noted that the break will mark a new beginning for individuals who will embark on personal projects.
“While the indefinite hiatus marks the end of a specific chapter, it also represents a new beginning for Sauti Sol. As close friends and business partners, the band members: Bien Aimé Baraza, Chimano Willis, Polycarp Otieno, and Savara Mudigi, are eager to expire fresh creative avenues and embark on personal endeavors. However, their friendship and vision will continue to be the driving force behind their future projects,” the statement further read.
The world tour will see them visit US, Europe and Canada.
The tour is set to begin in May 21 in Atlanta. The group will then perform in Dallas, Seattle and Los Angeles on May 24, 26 and 28 respectively.
In June, they will perform in New York, Washington DC, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Paris, London, Bristol, Sheffield, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne, Afro nation(Portugal).
The band would then perform in Frankfurt on July 1 and in Montreal on August 30.
